On any given day on any trip up into the Rocky Mountain National Park you might see elk, deer, moose or bighorn sheep. Until this month I could only say that I've seen deer and elk. Now I can add bighorn sheep to my list of wildlife sightings. It was so serene, so tranquil. They were grazing near a pond oblivious to the crowd that had gathered to photograph the family of three. Each one was shedding, it is mid July. I would love to find them again in the fall with their full coats never the less it was an amazing sight and, so far, the highlight of my summer.
We, the gathered crowd, didn't get close. We didn't bother them - keeping in mind the respect of distance toward the wildlife. We were luckly to have the opportunity to get this view with these, Gods creatures.
